Forest fox
Walk cycle · 4 framesAbout these examples
Demo artwork made with OpenAI image generation, not Kie. These previews play four frames from the artwork; alignment and consistency may need editing for a game.
Concept: An orange fox adventurer with a teal scarf, walking to the right in four pixel-art poses.

How to make a sprite sheet
Add your PNG, JPG or WebP frames, or try the example above. Use Sort A–Z for numbered filenames and the frame arrows to fine-tune animation order. Choose a packing mode, set columns and padding, and check the animation speed before exporting.
Does this upload my images?
No. Importing, packing, trimming, preview and export all run in your browser. No account is needed for these tools. Download your work before closing or reloading the page; the workspace is not saved. The separate AI sprite generator sends prompts to Kie.
Which export should I use?
PNG contains the image. JSON lists each frame's rectangle, trim offset and original size. CSS gives one background-position rule per frame. Download the PNG alongside its metadata. JSON is this tool's atlas map; check your engine's expected format before importing. The animation preview does not export GIF or video.
Which packing mode?
Uniform grid keeps equal-sized cells and follows frame order. Compact rows reduces gaps when frame sizes differ. MaxRects packs frames into available space, so use the JSON coordinates instead of assuming a reading order. Keep trimming off if your engine expects the original fixed-size cells.
How do I keep a transparent background?
Start with PNG or WebP frames that already contain transparency. PNG export preserves it, while trimming only removes transparent outer edges. Importing a JPG or exporting it as PNG does not remove its background. Padding adds space between frames; it does not extrude edge pixels.
Already have a sprite sheet?
Use the sprite sheet splitter to turn a uniform grid into separate PNG frames. The maker combines individual images; the splitter separates an existing sheet. Both tools run locally and support up to 256 frames per workspace.
